Ginger Kale is a fast casual cafe on the water of Houston’s own Herman Park. We are in search of experienced Line Cook and pastry prep Cooks to join our small but growing kitchen crew!
As part of the Ginger Kale team, it is your responsibility to produce delicious, quality food and pastries in a timely manner, keep food and beverage levels up to par, and continually observing and implementing the proper quality-assurance and food-safety procedures. To be successful in this role, you should have strong passion for food and cooking, keep a positive attitude, and be a team player!

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 6 months proven prior experience as a cook, grill cook, fry cook, prep cook, line cook, chef, or restaurant crew member, team member or other BOH restaurant jobs
  • High School Diploma
  • Certified Culinary Training is a plus
  • Health Department – Certified
  • Minimum of six months experience working in a high-volume kitchen

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Able to stand for 8 hours
  • Available to work busy weekends and holidays as needed
  • Able to lift 50 pounds
  • Basic knife skills
