Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food service and be knowledgeable in food handling and food safety practices. The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes to high-quality standards, and will play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen. Responsibilities: - Prepare and cook dishes to high-quality standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment. - Assist in menu planning and meal preparation, ensuring that all dishes meet the requirements of our fine dining establishment. - Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to food safety guidelines and best practices. - Handle food and ingredients safely and hygienically, ensuring that all food is handled and stored correctly. - Work effectively as part of a team to ensure that all orders are fulfilled promptly and to a high standard. - Keep up to date with menu changes and special requests. - Assist in maintaining a positive and welcoming atmosphere for customers. Requirements: - Experience in the food industry, preferably in a fine dining establishment. - Knowledge of food handling and food safety practices. - Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment. - Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high-quality standards. - Ability to work effectively as part of a team. - Physical stamina to handle heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing. - Ability to adapt to changing menu items and special requests. - Familiarity with kitchen equipment and tools. - Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace. - Compliance with food safety and dietary aide regulations. - Strong culinary skills and ability to prepare and cook a variety of dishes.
