OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of food preparation, safety, and handling, as well as a commitment to delivering high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment.

SKILLS

  • Proficient in food preparation techniques and methods.
  • Strong understanding of food safety protocols and regulations.
  • Experience working in a kitchen environment, preferably within the food industry or restaurant setting.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
  • Knowledge of meal preparation processes and techniques.
  • 32 hours per week minimum

Responsibilities
  • Measure, weigh, and prepare ingredients for baking according to recipes and production schedules.
  • Mix batters, doughs, and fillings as directed by the baker or pastry chef.
  • Portion and shape dough for breads, pastries, and cookies.
  • Prepare baking trays, pans, and molds for production.
  • Assist with moving products in and out of ovens, cooling racks, and storage areas.
  • Label and store prepared items properly to maintain freshness and food safety.
  • Keep prep areas clean, sanitized, and organized throughout the shift.
  • Wash and maintain tools, equipment, and utensils used in baking.
  • Support bakers with any additional tasks needed during production.
