We’re currently seeking a dedicated Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our growing kitchen team.

JOB SUMMARY

As a Line Cook / Prep Cook at Plank Restobar, you’ll be responsible for preparing and executing menu items with consistency, efficiency, and attention to detail. You’ll play a key role in ensuring a high standard of food quality and kitchen cleanliness while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ year of experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a team setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Food Handler Certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Passion for food and a desire to grow within the hospitality industry.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to Plank’s recipes and standards.
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies and ingredients.
  • Follow prep lists and ensure food preparation is completed ahead of service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen at all times.
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are followed (HACCP knowledge an asset).
  • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Receive deliveries, label and store food products properly.
  • Assist with inventory control and minimize food waste.
  • Take direction from the Head Chef and Sous Chef and execute tasks efficiently.
