Shokku Ramen in Houston Heights is looking to fill multiple Line Cook or Prep Cook positions for Houston’s newest and most exciting original spicy ramen concept. We have positions available for 8am, 4pm, 8pm, 12am, and 2am shifts. Shokku Ramen boasts an energetic, modern atmosphere with fun and exciting connotations of Japanese anime with a modern, trendy twist. We are the only 24/7 Ramen experience in Houston and are proud to bring exceptional food to our guests around the clock.
Starting wages to be discussed during interview and will be based on experience ($15-$18 D.O.E. plus tips entry level) Those with flexible hours will be considered over stricter schedules. Those who are enthusiastic about what they do will be considered higher on our list of applicants. Any management experience will be considered for higher level positions. We have multiple Kitchen Manager Positions availiable. Those who are willing to travel will recieve higher compensation.
Qualifications:
Food safety & sanitation knowledge required / knowledge of health codes
Up-to-date health card(s) required
Strong Team Work and Communication
Works neat & clean / good personal hygiene
Experience in Ramen restaurants preferred
Experience in a fast pace environment preferred
Follows instruction / self starter
Willing to do cover any position on the line requested
Adhere to and comply with both company and property policies and procedures
Perform any additional duties as directed by management

Job Duties

• Ensure the preparation station and kitchen are set up and stocked.
• Prepare simple components of each dish on the menu by chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and preparing sauces.
• Report to the executive chef and follow instructions.
• Make sure food preparation and storage areas meet health and safety standards.
• Clean prep areas and take care of leftovers.
• Stock inventory and supplies.
• Cook menu items with the support of the kitchen staff.
