JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and cooking, with experience in fine dining or catering environments. This role is essential in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering high-quality meals to our guests.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred.
  • Strong background in food service, with experience in restaurants or culinary settings.
  • Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food handling best practices.
  • Familiarity with menu planning and the ability to execute fine dining standards.
  • Demonstrated culinary experience with an emphasis on cooking skills, including knife skills and food safety protocols.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Incharge of all cookware dish, and dishwasher.
  • Handle food items safely, ensuring proper storage and handling techniques are followed.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
  • Perform inventory checks and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Utilize knife skills for food preparation, ensuring precision and efficiency in all tasks.
  • Support catering events by preparing dishes as per the event requirements.
  • Occasionally calling food order in/ put orders away
  • Working effectively to complete prep list as well as cook orders for the line, while keeping a clean organized work place.
