JOB SUMMARY

As a Cook at The Creek, you’ll be responsible for preparing ingredients, cooking meals to order, and maintaining cleanliness and safety in the kitchen. You’ll work closely with fellow kitchen and front-of-house staff to keep service running smoothly and deliver an excellent guest experience. This position requires the ability to work quickly, stay organized, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Food Safety Certification (required or obtained before first scheduled shift)
  • Previous kitchen experience preferred, but training will be provided to the right candidate
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and multitask effectively
  • Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to cleanliness
  • Must be legally eligible to work in an establishment that serves alcohol
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Physically able to stand for extended periods and lift 25+ lbs
  • Must pass a background check
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible availability—including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to read and write in English and follow written and verbal instructions
Responsibilities
  • Set up, clean, and organize your station before, during, and after each shift
  • Prepare ingredients: wash, chop, portion, season, and marinate as needed
  • Operate and maintain equipment such as ovens, grills, and fryers
  • Cook meals according to restaurant recipes and food safety standards
  • Plate and present food to standard, ensuring accuracy and visual appeal
  • Monitor multiple orders and prioritize tasks in a busy service window
  • Store food and supplies properly and ensure FIFO rotation
  • Sanitize stations and equipment regularly in compliance with health regulations
  • Assist in restocking and ordering supplies as needed
  • Support team members and jump in where needed during peak periods
  • Recommend seasonal specials or contribute to menu development
  • Communicate effectively with front-of-house to ensure timely and accurate orders
