Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the food industry and possess a passion for creating delicious dishes. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic kitchen environment.
Duties:
- Assist in meal preparation and cooking under the guidance of the head chef
- Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and portioning as needed
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, and organizing supplies
- Follow food safety standards and guidelines at all times
- Help with inventory management and stock rotation
Qualifications:
- Proven experience working as a cook in a restaurant or similar setting
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and techniques
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Understanding of basic food safety principles
