The Day-to-Day: Execute tasks as delegated by the Sous Chef, Chef, and/or General Manager. Prepare food for the event space in accordance with Oliver & Bonacini (O&B) standards. Follow all recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines to ensure consistency and quality. Maintain an organized prep list and stay on top of all station duties throughout service. Use the FIFO (First In, First Out) method to ensure product freshness and reduce waste. Assist with food inventory management and stock control as needed. Receive, inspect, and properly store all deliveries, ensuring product quality and food safety. Keep all prep areas, equipment, and utensils clean and sanitized, following all hygiene and food safety standards. Adhere strictly to WHMIS and MSDS safety guidelines. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support kitchen operations. Qualifications 1-2 years cooking experience in a fast-paced restaurant Valid Food Handlers Certificate preferred. Culinary diploma/degree is an asset. Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills. Ability to take direction and work calmly and effectively under pressure. Able to spend 100% of the time standing Flexible availability evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
