EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of five years of experience as a line cook or sous-chef.
  • Certificate in Culinary Arts preferred.
  • Experience with various cooking methods and procedures.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Chef to identify product needs.
  • Oversee staff mise en place, ensuring quality and standards are met.
  • Cook food items using grilling, frying, sautéing, and other methods according to specified recipes and the highest standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
  • Orchestrate the kitchen shutdown each night.
  • Perform inventory checks and complete task lists for the team.
  • Work independently and contribute to the menu with new features or long-term ideas.
  • Be available to work weekends and have a flexible schedule.
  • Lift up to 50lbs and stand for long periods of time.
