We are seeking a passionate and skilled line cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. Position Summary: The Line Cook will work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen staff to prepare and execute menu items to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, an eye for detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen. Key Responsibilities: Ø Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts, according to Stout’s Island Lodge recipes and standards. Ø Ensure consistency and quality in every dish, paying close attention to presentation and portion control. Ø Work efficiently in a team environment to meet service timelines. Ø Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations. Ø Follow all food safety regulations and ensure proper handling and storage of food items. Ø Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, ensuring inventory is stocked and organized. Ø Communicate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and timely service. Ø Handle food prep and assist with menu item development as directed by the Head Chef. Ø Assist with special events, catering, or private parties as needed. Ø Clean cooking equipment, utensils, and kitchen areas in accordance with health and safety standards. Qualifications: Ø Previous experience as a line cook, prep cook, or in a similar kitchen role is preferred. Ø Knowledge of cooking techniques, kitchen equipment, and safety practices. Ø Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong multitasking skills. Ø A passion for culinary arts and high-quality food production. Ø Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a clean, organized work environment. Ø Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Ø Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Ø Strong communication and teamwork skills.
