Newly opened Big T’s BBQ West Spring is looking to add one more Pit Boss to the team. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about scratch-made food, smoked meats, and working in a high-energy, fast-casual kitchen. Whether you’ve got years of experience or are just getting started, this is your chance to learn real BBQ and work with a team that values quality, consistency, and good vibes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must be at least 20 years old
  • Valid FoodSafe certification required
  • Two years line cook experience required
  • Comfortable working with raw meat, heat, and heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong time management, multitasking, and communication skills
  • Dependable, team-oriented, and eager to learn new techniques

Responsibilities
  • Smoke and plate BBQ mains to spec
  • Place and Receive orders
  • Prepare and portion all menu items, including homemade sides, desserts, etc.
  • Follow prep lists and complete daily mise en place
  • Monitor food quality, portion sizes, and presentation during service
  • Use commercial kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Label, store, and rotate food according to FIFO and food safety guidelines
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation and kitchen environment throughout shift
  • Work closely with front-of-house team to ensure smooth service
