Description

Our bakery and bistro is seeking a passionate and experienced cook to join our team. As a full time cook, you will be responsible for preparing a variety of foods that are high quality, delicious and visually appealing. You will be working under the supervision of our head chef and alongside other cooks and kitchen staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, including breakfast, lunch, and brunch and items, as well as baked goods and desserts.
  • Collaborating with the head chef and other team members to plan menus and specials.
  • Ensuring food is prepared to company standards in regards to taste, portion size and presentation.
  • Keeping a clean and organized work environment, following food safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Assisting with inventory management, ordering and receiving supplies.
  • Able to work efficiently in high-pressure situations and meet deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a professional cooking environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Experience with baking and pastry techniques is a plus.
  • Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
