As the Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients and assembling dishes according to recipes as well as maintaining a clean and organized work environment. You will be expected to have a thorough knowledge of food safety and sanitation protocols, as well as a positive attitude and an eagerness to learn. Job Responsibilities Prepare and cook dishes according to menu specifications Ensure food is cooked and presented to the highest standards Maintain a clean and sanitary work station Receive and store food supplies, equipment and utensils in the appropriate storage areas Ensure all food items are stored in accordance with food safety guidelines Adhere to guidelines on safe food handling and preparation Assist with the preparation of food for special events Monitor food supplies and place orders when needed Check food quality and prepare food items as directed Follow recipes and presentation specifications Follow health and safety regulations Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and work areas Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations Requirements Proven experience as a Line Cook in a busy restaurant Expertise in all aspects of food preparation Knowledge of food health and safety regulations Ability to adhere to health and safety regulations Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Ability to work well with a team Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks Proficiency in basic kitchen equipment Ability to follow instructions and take direction Ability to manage high-pressure situations Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
