Description This role is the leader of a production line and is responsible for the employees, safety, quality, training, record keeping and output. The line setup varies by product which impacts the number of machines or employees on the line, typically around 15. The Line Lead works with other departments like maintenance and shipping and also verifies and documents quality and production metrics on paper and using systems. REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Responsible for delivering line key performance indicators (KPI’s) such as staffing, output, quality and material loss. Ensures all employees are following work rules, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s). Participates in and suggests continuous improvement activities. Collaborating with maintenance to identify the root cause of machine issues. Train, coach, and support employees on the line. Ensure adherence to all standard work processes including all quality compliance requirements. Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: Bilingual (Spanish/English) 1-3 years of Lead experience in Food Packaging High school or GED Red Zone Experience (preferred) Fishbowl Experience (preferred) PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS: The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
