Our knowledgeable and dedicated BC Geomatics team is searching for a Line Locating Technician, in Langley, BC. We are looking for someone with a technical background, love of exploring, working outside, and a voracious appetite for line locating!
Responsibilities:
- Manage and perform field line locating work with the support of a Locator Assistant.
- Liaise with Project Managers to coordinate field survey work, review and manage project budgets, schedules, priorities, and line locating methodology.
- Liaise with client field representatives and landowners and be a brand ambassador for GeoVerra.
- Prepare field notes, sketches, checklists, and digital data in required formats for different audiences.
- Provide guidance, training and mentorship to Locator Assistants.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of industry best practices, efficient field processes and procedures and the innovative use of new technology.
- Actively participate in and proactively support the advancement of the GeoVerra safety program.
- Proactively participate in and support the GeoVerra safety program.
- Complete office technical survey tasks as required and other duties as assigned.
