Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity We’re looking for a registered Line Mechanic (Streetlighting) to join our Auckland team, delivering high-quality construction, maintenance and fault response across the streetlighting network. This role is hands-on and technical. You’ll install, maintain and repair network equipment, diagnose faults and carry out rectification works in line with industry standards, regulations and approved work practices. You’ll assess risks on every job, apply effective controls and ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to specification. You’ll work both independently and as part of a wider crew, engaging with supervisors, clients, suppliers and other trades. Safety is non-negotiable in this role — you’ll actively contribute to Zero Harm outcomes and help maintain a safe, compliant and professional work environment. If you’re a skilled Line Mechanic who takes pride in precision work, thrives under pressure and wants to be trusted with critical public infrastructure, this role delivers real responsibility and challenge. Mōu koe | About You You will bring: Relevant Line Mechanic registration and current practising licence NZQA Level 4 qualification Strong knowledge of SMEI and low-voltage safe work practices Proven experience installing, maintaining and fault-finding network assets Ability to work confidently unsupervised and under pressure Clear written and verbal communication skills (WMS, JSEAs) Full Class 1 driver’s licence Desirable: G&B qualification Heavy Trade licence Extensive industry experience You’re safety-driven, detail-focused and professional in how you represent the business with clients and the public.
