Description Line Cook - Front Range Reports to: Executive Chef - Front Range Job Category: Hourly | Non-Exempt | Full-Time Salary Range: $18.50 to $24.00 per hour DOE Job Site: Foundry Front Range (Broomfield) Job Summary: The line cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food at a station in a kitchen, ensuring quality, timeliness, and consistency of the food prepared. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required. 6+ months of restaurant cooking experience preferred. Required Skills/Abilities: Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation. Current CPR certification or ability to acquire CPR certification within 30 days of hire. Excellent customer service skills. Knowledge of State and Federal regulations regarding safe food preparation required. Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. Cultural sensitivity. Duties/Responsibilities: Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely fashion. Follow recipes and presentation specifications. Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently. Clean and maintain work station while practicing safety requirements. Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment. Restock items as needed throughout the shift. Adhere to all safety food production codes. Be able to adhere to specific timing standards. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to facility policies and procedures, State & Federal law, and accrediting agency regulations and standards. Other duties as assigned. Physical Requirements: Sitting, standing, reaching, bending, lifting, squatting, climbing stairs. Seeing, hearing, speaking. Prolonged standing and cooking in a kitchen environment with exposure to heat. Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times. Driving in all weather conditions.
