SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in housekeeping, accommodation or linen porter duties is an advantage but not essential.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and a professional, guest-focused attitude.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Physical stamina and the ability to carry out manual handling tasks safely.

Responsibilities

LINEN DUTIES

  • Monitor linen stock levels; promptly inform supervisors of shortages, damages or excessive wear.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization and security of the linen room and related storage areas.
  • Distribute linen and supplies to other team members as required.
  • Handle linen, trolleys and equipment with care, following all manual handling and safety procedures.
  • Assist in the collection and return of soiled linen to designated storage points.

ACCOMMODATION DUTIES

  • Ensure all guest rooms, lodges and public areas are cleaned and presented to a consistently high standard.
  • Replenish guest amenities and ensure rooms are prepared according to departmental checklists.
  • Report any maintenance issues or guest requests promptly to supervisors.
  • Support with guest service needs, such as delivering extra beds, cots, or additional amenities.
  • Comply with all health & safety, fire safety and infection control procedures.
