* Applies expertise in Albanian, Serbian, and Macedonian languages and dialects, and ethnographical breakdown of the Area of Operations (AO) to advise the TOPM in assigning linguists to the appropriate mission area tasks. * Observes linguist interpreting activities; inspects, edits, and proofreads translated documents in to/from target language to/from English. Assists Quality Control Manager of translation/transcription products and interpretation services including the accurate meaning, context, and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar, and pronunciation in both English and the target languages. * Recruits, tests, trains, and advises new linguists helping to build a linguist labor force capable of meeting the needs and demands of peacekeeping troops. * Researches and develops testing and assessment methodology for local dialects and languages spoken in Kosovo and Macedonia as required. Maintains linguist reference library; archives reoccurring translated documents; collects, researches, develops standardized terminology and abbreviations (i.e. military terms) for use in translating documents program wide and disseminates to linguists.
