LINKS PROGRAM MANAGER (FULL TIME PERMANENT)

Chisholm services for Children is a multi-service not-for-profit organization that focuses on supporting children 12 and younger. Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the LINKS Program Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and supervision of the LINKS after-school literacy program for elementary-age students. The LINKS Program is a curriculum-based model that supports children between 6-12 years of age who are reading below grade level or diagnosed with a learning difference. The LINKS Program Manager supervises a team of literacy instructors in the delivery of the LINKS Program through small student groups at school and/or community-based locations as well as through a one-on-one on-line distance model.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
  • 1-3 years supervisory experience
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize assignments and maintain attention to detail
  • Strong relational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in WORD, EXCEL, OUTLOOK and Google Suite
  • Ability to work independently, using discretion and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within LINKS Program
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and maintain professionalism at all times

    Bi-Weekly Hours: 70 Hours
    Salary: $51,835 annually

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage the daily operations of the LINKS Program
  • Coordinate and collaborate with agencies and schools to ensure the LINKS Program runs efficiently
  • Supervise a team of part-time literacy instructors and volunteers at assigned sites and on-line, to provide effective instruction for students, including but not limited to, hiring, training, coaching, and performance evaluation
  • Screen and assess children for reading levels and program placement
  • Plan and facilitate family engagement opportunities. Provide ongoing communication and literacy resources for families.
  • Perform project management and administrative functions to support the LINKS Program
  • Keep current in trends/research relevant to children’s literacy
  • Curriculum and policy development
  • Plan and facilitate volunteer opportunities
  • Collect and analyze data to inform program design and student instruction.
  • Manage assigned budgetary expenses
  • Provide regular reports to the Board of Directors
  • Promote the program in the community and attend fundraising events as required
