Description
Role: Linux Advanced Remediation Engineer – Marvell Bangalore  Experience: 5–9 Years   Key Responsibilities * Drive advanced vulnerability remediation across Linux environments (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) * Perform deep-dive root cause analysis (RCA) for critical/recurring vulnerabilities * Execute complex patching, kernel upgrades, and configuration fixes * Implement system hardening (CIS benchmarks, security baselines) * Develop and automate remediation workflows using shell scripting / Ansible * Validate fixes via re-scans (Qualys/Nessus) and ensure closure * Handle exception management & compensating controls for unpatched risks * Collaborate with infra, app, and security teams for risk mitigation strategies   Required Skills * Strong expertise in Linux system administration (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) * Hands-on experience in advanced patching, hardening, and remediation * Proficiency in shell scripting and automation (Ansible preferred) * Solid understanding of security vulnerabilities, CVEs, and remediation techniques * Experience with vulnerability tools (Qualys/Nessus)   Good to Have * Knowledge of CIS benchmarks / STIG compliance * Exposure to cloud (AWS/Azure Linux environments) * Familiarity with DevSecOps practices   Senior Linux expert with strong troubleshooting, automation, and security remediation experience in enterprise environments.   At Zensar, we’re “experience-led everything”.
