Description:

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

Degree in a relevant field (e.g. computer science or information technology).
7 years of experience working in IT support and operations or 5 years of experience in a similar position.
Demonstrate an in-depth technical knowledge of IT infrastructure and security best practices.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to educate technical and non-technical audiences on various topics.
Effective verbal and written communication skills in English. Any other language (DE, FR) will be considered an advantage.
Professional proven expertise in Microsoft and Linux operating systems.
Information technology certification on Microsoft and/or Red Hat will be considered as an asset.
Deep understanding of Microsoft Active Directory and associated services and of Linux system architecture.
Scripting experience with PowerShell and Bash / Shell.
Knowledge in Microsoft Azure will be highly appreciated. ( Azure Fundamental or
Administrator).
Extensive knowledge in monitoring software (CheckMK knowledge is an asset)
Knowledge in Vulnerability management and remediation.
Experience in the airline industry would be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities:

Continuously ensure appropriate administrative and technical measures are in place to ensure Cargolux information system stability and sustainability
Actively monitor existing infrastructure and take appropriate pro action actions to maintain them
Regularly perform and document backup/restore testing and execute procedure defined by the technology department
Develop and implement a comprehensive set of security controls to protect Cargolux’ information assets
Actively monitor infrastructure usage to ensure compliance with information security policies
Maintaining the IT ticketing system and knowledge base
Stay up to date with infrastructure technology standards
Effectively collaborate with the support, technology, project teams and IT management to improve and maintain best in class IT services
Overseeing deployment, patching, upgrading and migration of on prem, virtual and cloud environment
Regularly educate IT colleagues and ensure knowledge transfer
