Then join our IT Backend & DevOps team at our locations in Kirchheim near Munich and Berlin as a Linux & Network Infrastructure Engineer (m/f/d) with the option of regular home office.
What needs to be done?
- Design, operation and continuous development of our central IT infrastructure – from networks to routing, VPN and firewalls to virtualization solutions.
- Administration, optimization and ensuring the stable operation of our Linux and UNIX system landscape
- Integration of systems into the processes of central IT, for example in the areas of documentation, monitoring and backup.
- Identification, optimization and automation of recurring tasks and processes
- Management and planning of the physical infrastructure, including servers, network devices and server rooms at the Genoa locations.
- Active participation in shaping new topics, projects and technologies in the infrastructure environment and cloud.
- Professional exchange and knowledge transfer within the technical fields
This is what you bring with you
- Successfully completed vocational training as an IT specialist or a comparable IT-oriented qualification; alternatively, a completed technical degree.
- Excellent knowledge of Linux systems and sound networking skills
- Experience with and enthusiasm for open-source software
- Knowledge of virtualization and container technologies
- Experience with automation solutions – ideally with Puppet or Ansible
- Practical experience with Git and advanced basic knowledge of Python or another scripting language
- Enthusiasm for IT security and a structured, solution-oriented and security-focused way of working.
- Team spirit, initiative and a willingness to take on responsibility
- Fluent German skills, both spoken and written; good English skills
- Ideally, you have some prior experience with ISO 27001 or an interest in learning more about the topic.
