Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

This Linux Support Analyst vacancy is a new position within our Faculty IT & Partnering division, offering a varied and challenging opportunity to help deliver top class 1st & 2nd line support to our staff, students and honorary contract holders.

The key fundamentals of this role include:

  • Support the maintenance and development of systems used for research by academic staff, and students, such as Linux-based workstations, servers, storage systems and virtualisation infrastructure.
  • Resolve incidents and service requests at desk-side and remotely, adhering to agreed service levels.
  • Participation in product teams as a technical resource.
  • Report to Applications and Systems Manager.
  • Accountability to the Head of Faculty IT.
