Description

As a Linux SysAd L2 – Senior, you will provide advanced Linux system administration, ensuring reliability, security, and performance of the Managed Private Cloud and legacy systems. You will play a key role in maintaining enterprise server environments, mentoring junior administrators, and driving process improvements. What You'll Do and How You'll Succeed Install, configure, and update Linux operating systems to ensure smooth and secure operations. Manage users, groups, and file permissions, applying best practices for root access and security. Monitor system performance, tune parameters, and apply patches to maintain availability. Handle backups, troubleshooting, and system maintenance tasks, performing root‑cause analysis to minimise downtime. Optimise file systems and automate tasks using Bash and scripting tools. Mentor junior administrators and contribute to process improvements. We'd Love to Hear From You If... Experience You have at least five years of Linux system administration experience. You have worked extensively in enterprise server environments. Technical Expertise You are proficient with RHEL and Ubuntu operating systems. You have strong knowledge of virtualization platforms. You are experienced with backup tools and monitoring utilities (e.g., top, vmstat, nmon). You are skilled in automation using Ansible. You have scripting expertise in Bash and Python.
