    As a Linux System Administrator, you will be working closely with a fun team of highly skilled traders and software engineers on projects to improve our live trading environment. You’ll work on optimising our trading infrastructure with the flexibility to be creative in your solution designs.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience working in Linux (Experience with Windows is a plus)
  • Degree in computer science, engineering, information technology or a related field
  • Experience in servers and storage systems configuration and troubleshooting
  • Ability to manage multiple projects that span multiple teams to successful completion
  • Strong knowledge of open-source tools, Ansible configuration management and automation
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
  • Knowledge of Python and/or Shell scripting
  • Experience in Cloud Platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus
Responsibilities
  • Maintain our low-latency Linux-based trading infrastructure
  • Support internal teams on hardware and software issues
  • Automate, standardize and document IT processes to optimize work structures
  • Manage data center equipment e.g., server rack installation
  • Perform periodic audits of the environment, enforcing security and industry standards
  • Perform remote troubleshooting to diagnose production issues
  • Manage the life cycle of a server and build and deploy new solutions
  • Performance monitoring and system capacity management
  • Ensure the trading infrastructure is in a consistent and predictable state at the beginning of each trading day
  • Configure and install IT hardware as workstations e.g., typical desk set-up, installing screens, mouses, keyboards and Windows OS
