Description
Avint is seeking a highly skilled System Administrator (Linux) to support mission-critical DoD systems at Camp Lejeune. This is a 100% onsite position requiring daily presence at the installation. The role will focus on administering Linux-based environments, implementing security standards, and supporting energy grid monitoring systems under the UESC project. The ideal candidate has strong Linux experience, familiarity with DoD security tools, and the ability to support a hybrid Windows/Linux environment as the platform transitions to Linux. Responsibilities: Administer, configure, and secure Linux operating systems (5+ years of experience required). Implement and maintain DISA STIGs and DoD cybersecurity compliance standards. Support Nutanix environments (training available if not already certified/experienced). Maintain and support Windows Active Directory and administration as needed during transition to Linux (desired, not mandatory). Administer and monitor DoD security tools, including Trellix/HBSS. Conduct and manage system backups (TruNAS experience preferred but not required). Provide support for the Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS), an energy grid product supporting the UESC project (experience preferred). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with DoD and USMC cybersecurity standards. Qualifications Active Secret Clearance IAT Level II or III certification (Security+ minimum). Linux OS certification 5+ years of Linux administration experience. Experience implementing STIGs and securing DoD systems. Familiarity with DoD security tools (e.g., Trellix/HBSS). Experience with system backup technologies (TruNAS preferred). Nutanix administration experience desired (training available if needed). Windows Active Directory/administration background desired, but not mandatory. Experience with Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS) a plus. Joining Avint is a win-win proposition!
