Piper Enterprise Solutions is seeking an Linux System Administrator to join a stable and well known team located at Aberdeen Proving Ground.

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE LINUX SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR:

• 4+ of relevant technical experience is required.
• Intermediate-to-advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other related field is required. A combination of experience and education may be accepted in lieu of degree.

• Install, configure, and support an organization’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system.
• Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
• May monitor and test Web site performance to ensure Web sites operate correctly and without interruption.
• May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
• May supervise computer user support specialists and computer network support specialists.
• May administer network security measures.
