  St. Olaf College Student Employee Job Description   Job Title: Lion's Pause Student Marketing and Design Organizer Classification: Student Employee (non-exempt) Name and Address of Employer: St. Olaf College, 1520 St. Olaf Ave, Northfield, MN 55057 If the position requires the student to work off campus, provide the name and address here:   Department Name: Lion’s Pause Unit Number (5 digits): 15204 Length of Position: See Employment Authorization   Contact Person/Supervisor: Assistant Director of the Office of Student Activities Pay Rate (Check One) X Standard Hourly Rate __Supervisory/Special Skills Hourly Rate   Description of the Position: (Purpose of the Position): The Lion's Pause Student Marketing and Design Organizer is responsible for overseeing the publicity and outreach efforts of the Lion’s Pause, through the creation, design, and distribution of physical and digital marketing materials.    Transferable Skills:  * Graphic Design * Strategic Planning * Internal and External Communication * Time Management   Duties and Responsibilities:  * Design all posters for prides. * Submit posters for printing through the Print Center. * Distribute posters throughout campus, including delivery to Residence Life. * Submit all posters to Tightrope. * Manage Lion’s Pause social media presence on platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. * Keep Pause poster boards up to date. * Hold three individual office hours per week. * Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and Canva is required. * At the discretion of the Marketing and Design Manager, select, train, and supervise one volunteer assistant.    Additional Comments: 3 solo office hours, biweekly one of those office hours with Concert Management, Monthly Meeting with Kitchen Managers    Qualifications: (Education/Experience/Skills)  * Graphic design skills * Familiarity with or ability to learn programs within the Adobe Creative Suite * Ability to meet deadlines * Competent communication and collaboration skills * Familiarity with social media platforms including but not limited to: Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter   This job description is for general information purposes.
