Description We are seeking a knowledgeable and safety-focused Liquid Propane Department Manager to oversee all aspects of propane operations at our Harrison, OH location. This role is responsible for managing inventory, ensuring regulatory compliance, supervising staff, and delivering excellent customer service while maintaining the highest safety standards. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities Oversee daily operations of the liquid propane department, including storage, dispensing, and sales Ensure full compliance with all safety regulations, and local/state requirements Manage propane inventory levels, ordering, and supply logistics Supervise, train, and schedule department staff Conduct routine safety inspections of tanks, cylinders, and dispensing equipment Ensure proper handling, filling, and transportation of propane Maintain accurate records of inventory, inspections, and regulatory documentation Respond to customer inquiries and provide product guidance Investigate and report any incidents, leaks, or safety concerns immediately Collaborate with upper management to improve operational efficiency and profitability Requirements Qualifications 3+ years of experience in propane operations, fuel services, or a related field Prior supervisory or management experience preferred Strong knowledge of propane handling, storage, and safety procedures Ability to obtain or currently hold relevant certifications (e.g., CETP certification) Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills Basic computer skills for reporting and inventory management ________________________________________ Preferred Certifications CETP (Certified Employee Training Program) certification Hazmat endorsement (if applicable) ________________________________________ Skills & Competencies Safety-first mindset Attention to detail and compliance awareness Team leadership and staff development Problem-solving and decision-making Customer service orientation ________________________________________ Work Environment Outdoor and indoor work environments Exposure to varying weather conditions Physical requirements include lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods May require weekends, holidays, and on-call availability ________________________________________ Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary (based on experience) Health, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holidays 401k match
