We are seeking a proactive and skilled Lithographic Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong experience in a warehouse environment and the drive to learn new skills, supporting the lithographic team. The Assistant will be responsible for ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently while maintaining a high standard of quality.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Litho Supervisor and report directly into them regarding daily pressroom operations.
  • Assist Litho Number 1 in the setup, operation, and routine maintenance of lithographic printing presses.
  • Accurately prepare and process printing plates in line with job specifications.
  • Ensure printing plates are clean, properly aligned, and defect-free before production use.
  • Monitor print quality throughout runs and assist in making necessary adjustments to maintain consistency.
  • Manage materials including paper stock, inks, and pressroom supplies to support production workflow.
  • Perform cleaning and preventive maintenance on plate-making equipment, litho presses, and work areas.
  • Adhere to production schedules to help meet deadlines and delivery targets.
  • Communicate clearly and efficiently with the Litho Supervisor, press operators, pre-press, and finishing teams.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving plate or print-related issues to minimize press downtime.
  • Comply with all health and safety protocols and uphold quality control standards throughout operations.
  • Conduct heavy lifting and movement of materials within the warehouse.
  • Maintain an organised workspace to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines.
