About The Team The role involves handling all aspects of the company's legal cases, including civil and criminal matters filed against other parties. Key responsibilities include reviewing documents, doing legal research, and giving strategic advice to senior management. It also involves making sure cases are filed and tracked on time, responding to legal notices, working closely with external lawyers, and attending court or police proceedings. The role includes drafting legal documents, submitting necessary paperwork, keeping records up to date, and maintaining organized files for each case. Responsibilities Handling end-to-end litigation matters for the company with respect to civil lawsuits or criminal reports filed by the company against the counterparties in various forums. Reviewing documents, conducting research and accordingly providing the legal strategy and opinion for superior and/or the company’s management Ensuring effective litigation management of all cases - timely filing of cases and monitoring their progress, and provide timely updates to the relevant leaders of division Analysing legal notices and ensuring timely and appropriate responses thereto. Providing extensive briefing of and co-ordination with external counsels Attending police summons or court proceedings and coordinating for filing of all representation and submissions thereto Drafting various documents as may be required in the course of work Providing update to superior and/or company’s management periodically Maintaining proper filing of documents for each case handled Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Law, With a GPA minimum of 3.00. 2 - 5 working experiences, with minimum 2 years experiences working in law firm Having licensed as an advocate is preferable Excellent verbal and written communication skills Effective interpersonal skills Effective Drafting and Negotiation skills At Amartha, we are dedicated to creating a workplace that celebrates diversity, ensures equity, and fosters inclusion.
