LITIGATION ASSISTANT

The Dental Law Partnership are an award winning leading Dental Negligence Solicitors located in Nantwich, Cheshire.
We are recruiting for two Litigation Assistants to join our busy Litigation Assistant Department. We are looking for excellent skills to join our team whose priority is undertaking administration/secretarial and client liaison work on behalf of all fee earners.
This role is full time , 35hrs per week Monday-Friday with some flexibility.
This role offers a starting salary of £23,000 per annum plus a company bonus scheme, 31 days holiday a year including bank holidays and Christmas closure, with the option to buy an additional 5 days and a contributory pension scheme.
Full training will be given.

SKILLS AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS REQUIRED:

  • Ability to maintain good communications with all fee earners and support staff.
  • Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
  • Good telephone manner with clients.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Willing to comply with or suggest improvements to the firm’s procedures.
  • Computer literate and knowledge of software applications.
  • Patience and a sense of humour.

Responsibilities
  • Taking telephone messages from clients when fee earners are not available.
  • Overflow cover for the New Business Team taking all new client enquiries and obtaining and recording all relevant information.
  • Answering clients’ minor queries regarding their claims.
  • Typing letters, forms, documents and general correspondence as requested. There is no dictation.
  • Filing and maintaining files in good order so that they are complete and easily traceable.
  • When an Office Administrator is not available, preparing mail for sending to the Post Office.
  • Photocopying.
  • Being responsible for working with other support staff/fee earners as a team where necessary.
  • Undertaking training as and when required to maintain competence in the role.
  • Any other duties as may be directed.
