Description Job Title: Associate Attorney Practice Area: Litigation Salary: Dependent on experience, plus performance bonus and benefit package Status: Full-time, FLSA Exempt Hand Arendall Harrison Sale LLC is looking for an experienced litigation attorney in our Destin or Santa Rosa Beach office. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong academic credentials and a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in civil litigation including, municipal, education and insurance defense. Essential Functions: Conducts legal research Independently drafts litigation documents Attends client appointments independently Learns and understands client expectations and key department business goals and assists them in meeting those goals Handles and actively seeks opportunities to become involved in special projects and on committees Completes all required administrative tasks including time reporting, closed cases, reports and other materials appropriate to performance of job duties Effectively makes use of technology and automation in the practice of law Adheres to all standards of excellence in file management Travels as required to meet business needs Maintains the integrity of the Firm and products offered by complying with federal and state regulations as well as company policies and procedures. May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Working Conditions Normal professional office setting. Evening and/or weekend work. In State travel will be required. Typical Physical Needs Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. May need to climb stairs and lift up to 30 lbs. Must record case time and expenses contemporaneously Must be punctual and able to abide by agreed-to office hours Must have heightened attention to detail and understanding and meeting deadlines, without compromising efficiency and effectiveness Must have great research skills Must have the technical knowhow of Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc., and Adobe, and file management software Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), professional demeanor and presentation, both in person and virtually The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines High ethical standards observing confidentiality of client matters at all times
