JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Litigation Lawyer to join our legal team to be a young founding partner of our brand new Canadian Law office. The ideal candidate will be responsible for representing clients in civil litigation cases, providing expert legal advice, and ensuring the best possible outcomes for our clients. This role requires a strong understanding of legal principles, excellent research and writing skills, and the ability to negotiate effectively on behalf of clients.

SKILLS

  • Proficient in legal research tools such as LexisNexis.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
  • Excellent research capabilities to analyze case law and statutes relevant to ongoing cases.
  • Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence.
  • Proficient in legal drafting with attention to detail in creating precise and effective documents.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations.
  • Prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
  • Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as LexisNexis to support case strategies.
  • Develop case strategies and provide sound legal advice to clients.
  • Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients.
  • Maintain accurate records of all case-related activities and communications.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal professionals to ensure comprehensive representation.
