Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal/ Administrative Assistant to support our legal team with legal and other administrative tasks, document management, and financial recordkeeping. The ideal candidate will have experience in legal support, administrative work and basic QuickBooks accounting, Microsoft office, and good organizational skills along with a willingness to learn and adapt. This is a fast and dynamic work environment with a leading team of goal oriented professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Litigation Support Specialist:
- Strong Affidavits Drafting Skills
· Litigation experience, Superior Court and Small Claims
· Knowledge of Family Law
· Set-up Instruction worksheets
· Monitor strict deadlines
· Review files
· The ability to work independently
· Strong problem-solving skills
· Exceptional customer services skills
· Organization and multitasking skills
· Update clients on file progress via email and system
· Online filings
· Type at a speed of at least 50 words per minute (WPM) to ensure efficiency in document handling
Administrative Tasks:
- Scan, organize, and file documents systematically.
- Sort and distribute mail, emails and other communications.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to handle and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Curiosity to learn and explore new ideas, technologies, and industry trends to drive innovation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
- Familiarity with legal terminology and document management.
- High attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a law office or legal setting and administrative is an asset.
- Associate’s degree or certification in business administration, paralegal studies, or accounting/finance is an asset.
- Knowledge of bookkeeping practices and financial reporting.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm. Flex work schedule and work from home options can be considered upon completion of training.
