Job Description We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live In Care Professional to join our team in Shoreham, Kent. As a Live In Care Professional, you will provide essential support and companionship to a elderly client requiring general support within their home. You will be required to enhance their quality of life and help them maintain their independence. Live in the client's home, providing round-the-clock care and support Offer companionship and engage in meaningful conversations with clients Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming Plan, prepare, and serve nutritious meals according to dietary requirements Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment Provide medication reminders and assist with medication management Accompany clients to appointments, social events, and outings Support clients with mobility and transfers as needed Monitor clients' physical and emotional well-being, reporting any changes or concerns Maintain accurate records of daily activities and client's condition Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care Organise and participate in stimulating activities tailored to the client's interests and abilities Assist with pet care when required Manage household tasks such as laundry, shopping, and running errands Salary £125.00-£135.00 daily rate Additional £8.00 per day food allowance Flexible rotas which can be negotiated Full milage paid when using car for client purposes Qualifications Genuine passion for caring for others, with a friendly and empathetic demeanour Previous experience in caring or a related field (preferred) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong time management and organisational abilities Proficiency in cooking skills Proficiency in personal care techniques and light housekeeping Physical capability to assist with mobility and transfers Understanding of medication management and administration Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's care (preferred) Ability to maintain a professional and supportive attitude in challenging situations Flexibility to adapt to changing client needs and schedules Excellent observation and reporting skills Basic computer literacy for documentation purposes Willingness to undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service check (repaid after 3 months' service) Right to work in the United Kingdom Additional Information As a Live In Care Professional, you will be provided with 3 meals a day or an allowance from the client, a separate room to stay and access to a TV and WiFi. In addition, we offer comprehensive training and support.
