JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to a stroke survivor in need of assistance with daily living activities. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort and well-being of our client, and in their rehabilitation when living in their own home. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care and a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in caregiving, senior care, or related fields is preferred.
• Knowledge of assisted living, live-in care practices, and home care services is advantageous.
• Familiarity with first aid procedures and medication administration protocols.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with physical mobility challenges.
• A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients.
• A caring attitude towards individuals requiring support, along with patience and empathy.

  Excellent clinical supervision and support from manager, Specialist neuro nurse and Physiotherapist/ Occupational therapist. Regular team meetings with a robust clinical governance framework to maintain client safety and quality.

• Assist client with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ well-being.
• Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in health status.
• Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences and as per Speech and Language therapist’s recommendation.
• Assist with mobility and transfers, including appropriate moving and handling when necessary.
• Support clients with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other cognitive impairments through behaviour management techniques.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients by performing light housekeeping duties.
• Document care provided and report any concerns to the supervising nurse or care manager.
• Drive clients to appointments or social engagements as needed.
