Description

ABOUT US

At Apex Healthcare, we’re not just another care provider – we’re a close-knit team that puts people first. From hourly support to full live-in care, we provide personalised services to help adults across Reading and Wokingham live safely and independently in their own homes. Regulated by the CQC, we’re proud of our reputation for compassionate, reliable care – and we’re looking for live-in carers who share our values.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

Do you naturally put others first? Are you someone who finds joy in making a difference, who brings both professionalism and a warm, human touch? If you answered “yes,” you could be the perfect fit for our team.
We’re looking for experienced Live-in Carers who can bring dedication, kindness, and reliability into the homes of our clients. Whether you’re seeking full-time live-in work or more flexible part-time rotas, we’d love to hear from you.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

We’re looking for carers who are kind, confident, and dependable. Ideally, you’ll have:

  • Previous live-in care experience, or experience supporting someone in their home
  • A caring nature and a genuine desire to make a difference
  • Strong communication skills and patience
  • An understanding of personal care routines and basic medication support
  • First Aid or Care Certificate is a bonus – but full training can be provided
  • The ability to work independently and build trusting relationships
Responsibilities

You’ll be living in your client’s home, providing vital day-to-day support. Every person is different, but your role may include:

  • Supporting with personal care such as washing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
  • Preparing nutritious meals and supporting healthy eating
  • Providing companionship and emotional reassurance
  • Administering or assisting with medication (as trained)
  • Assisting with light housework, laundry, and keeping the environment safe
  • Offering support for clients with dementia, physical disabilities, or long-term health needs
  • Monitoring wellbeing and responding to any concerns or changes in condition
