JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a compassionate, patient and dedicated Caregiver to provide high-quality care to individuals in need, seniors, and those with specific health conditions such as dementia. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through attentive support and companionship. This role requires a blend of practical skills and emotional intelligence to effectively assist with daily living activities.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in live-in care, senior care, or home care is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of dementia care practices is an advantage.
• Certification in First Aid is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is essential.
• Ability to drive and hold a valid driving licence is required for transportation duties.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Compassionate nature with a strong desire to help others improve their quality of life.
• Capability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely as needed.
• Flexibility in working hours, including availability for shifts during evenings or weekends if required.

• Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Administer medication as prescribed and monitor client health.
• Assist with mobility and transportation needs, including accompanying clients to appointments or activities.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
• Implement behaviour management techniques when necessary to ensure a safe environment.
• Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organised living space.
• Support clients with meal preparation and nutrition guidance.
• Assist with heavy lifting when required, ensuring the safety of both the caregiver and the client.
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel.
