JOB DESCRIPTION: SUMMARY OF POSITION Stays overnight at recovery house to provide general oversight, manage curfews, maintain house rules, and complete required reporting. Has daily contact with clients and staff, intervene in problem situations, provide daily support and guidance for residents adjusting to community living, and help overcome obstacles in daily living. Be an appropriate role model for clients, adaptable in style, and must exercise good judgment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide daily guidance and support to residents who are transitioning back to the community. Assists with intervening in problem situations. Models appropriate daily living skills including healthy communication skills. Models and teaches conflict management. Responds to emergency or urgent situations by providing direct client assistance. Supports implementation of clients individualized recovery plans. Assists with monitoring and reporting facility maintenance issues. Follows agency safety protocols including emergency drills. Completes reporting and documentation. Responds to emergency or urgent situations, providing direct client assistance and accessing appropriate resources to ensure client and staff safety. Prepares for each shift by receiving information from the outgoing staff members, reading the communication log and any posted messages, and checking/reading mail in assigned mailbox. Follows agency protocols in emergencies, assisting in monthly fire and tornado drills. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods. QUALIFICATIONS Education Level High school education or GED. Years of Experience Some mental health or healthcare experience preferred.
