Job Description: Live-In Youth Mentoring Specialist / Transporter (AR)
JOB SUMMARY:
The Live-In Youth Mentoring Specialist is responsible for providing day-to-day supervision, guidance, and support to transitional residents within the Residential Program. This role focuses on promoting positive development, accountability, and goal achievement for at-risk youth, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment aligned with Timothy Hill’s mission and values. The position is bartered for room and a few meals a week, with full-time hours (at least 45 hours a week) derived from job responsibilities aligned with the evening direct practice, weekend on-campus recreational activities, transportation, and medication distribution.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support Timothy Hill’s Mission, Vision, and Values: Uphold and integrate the organization’s mission, vision, and values into daily activities and interactions with residents.
Provide Supervision and Accountability:
Supervise and mentor residents, ensuring adherence to the program’s narrative, goals, and expectations.
Hold residents accountable for their actions, reporting infractions to the Site Director for further discussion at Board of Review or as needed.
Establish and enforce house rules, and ensure residents take responsibility for their actions through clear consequences within program boundaries.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or GED required; some college or a bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
Valid & current driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Arkansas Maltreatment Registry Child Abuse Clearance is required.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
Training in First Aid and Medication Administration is required (provided by Timothy Hill).
Experience working with at-risk youth or in a residential setting is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to serve as a positive role model.
Ability to maintain professional boundaries while building supportive, mentoring relationships with residents

MENTORSHIP AND ROLE MODELING:
Serve as a positive role model, balancing the roles of parent, teacher, coach, motivator, and disciplinarian.
Provide emotional, social, and academic support to residents, helping them develop life skills and navigate challenges.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Complete any other reasonable duties assigned by the Site Director, Residential Operations Manager, or Executive Director.
Time Off: Two consecutive days from 6:00am -8:59pm each day and are required to be back on the campus to begin the 9:00pm
