Organised and proactive Live-in Housekeeper sought for a welcoming family based in the coastal market town of Southwold, Suffolk. Working five days per week on a rota basis, with another Housekeeper, supporting with the smooth running of a beautifully presented family home with sea views. Alongside maintaining a high standard of cleaning, laundry, and household organisation, the Housekeeper will also assist with light work in the vegetable garden and liaising with contractors when required. The family home has a swimming pool and gym, and is shared with two friendly dogs and three cats, who require daily feeding and walking around the grounds when the principals travel. Household security requirement when principals travel. They value healthy and simple home-cooked meals, and while assistance with confident family-style cooking is preferred, training can be provided for more junior candidates who are keen to develop this skill. A House manager/ Chef and groundsman also employed. The principals entertain monthly, therefore the successful candidate should be willing to help out with the informal dinner parties. The household is home to professional principals who have grown up children. The informal and warm environment would suit an energetic and adaptable individual who has a positive attitude. Well-presented, 1 bedroom private lodge provided within grounds. All bills included. A partner and a pet would be welcome. Hours: 5 days per week (including weekends), rota schedule with other Housekeeper. Morning support with either a 6:45am or 9am start (alternating), up until 1pm. Then 4pm– 6 or 7pm when entertaining. A driving licence is essential and a car will be provided to use whilst on duty. Offering a salary of £40,000 gross per annum. Interviews to commence right away for an ASAP start.
