The Lodge in the Vale is located in Thirlmere, near Keswick, Cumbria (4 miles from Keswick town centre).
We are looking for an enthusiastic General Assistant to join our small friendly team - Live In or Live Out.

The main responsibilities for this position include:

  • Assisting in the running of the small on-site Coffee Shop serving hotel guests and visitors
  • Housekeeping duties to prepare and service our guest bedrooms and keep front of house areas clean and tidy
  • Assisting with the breakfast service for hotel guests
  • Assisting on the Reception desk, performing check-in/out procedures for our residents
  • An eye for detail, a warm and friendly manner and the desire to offer great service at all times is required
  • The ability to work to deadlines is essential

This is a Live-Out or a Live-In position, 40 hours/ 5 days a week, shift work, including evenings and weekends, with 2 days off per week. 28 days holiday per year.
On-site Single Occupancy Accommodation can be provided to right candidate.
If Accommodation isn’t required, a full driving license and your own car or the ability to reliably commute on public transport to meet the rostered hours on shift is essential.
The ideal candidate should be polite and friendly, with a positive attitude towards our customers.
The role involves working closely with our small team, to deliver friendly, prompt and professional service to our guests at all times.
Applicants should ideally have some relevant experience in similar establishments, but full training will be provided to the right candidate.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £26,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 25 – 40 per week
