Description

We are currently recruiting a Live Line Powerline Worker to join our Operations, People and Safety division in Albury.
We are currently recruiting a Live Line Powerline Worker to join our Operations, People and Safety division in Albury. This role reports to various supervisors across the network and plays a critical role in the safe and efficient delivery of live line and general powerline services across Essential Energy’s high and low voltage distribution assets.
The Live Line Powerline Worker is responsible for construction, installation, connection, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground network infrastructure, with a focus on live line operations using Stick, Glove, and Barrier techniques.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS

  • Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems – Distribution Overhead, with national units of competency for Live Line Barrier, Stick and Glove
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • WorkCover NSW Construction Induction Certificate
  • Current national Live Line competencies for Stick, Glove and BarrierOngoing maintenance of all required licences and authorisations

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • Demonstrated experience in Powerline Worker and Live Line operations
  • Familiarity with audit, safety, and environmental procedures
  • Knowledge of system switching and access principles
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skillsBasic computer skills relevant to the role
