Healthcare Assistant, Night Support As a Healthcare Assistant delivering “live night” support at Three Steps, you will work in an attachment and trauma informed manner to support those in our care, be that in our children’s disability services, our children’s mainstream services, or our adult services. Those we care for sometimes have autism and/or other diagnoses, may also have a complex combination of emotional, behavioral, family and mental health needs. All our team members are central in enabling them to enhance their unique potential.

Responsibilities
  • Provide the highest standard of trauma-informed therapeutic care to those in our care at Three Steps
  • Establish a positive relationship with those we care for in the team you work with
  • Support the young people in their night-time routines, on occasions when they wake during the night and with their morning routines
  • Follow guidance with regard to assisting the young people to settle and return to sleep during the night
  • Contribute to the promotion, creation and maintenance of a welcoming, caring and therapeutic environment
  • Deliver household duties (as appropriate for night-time ) to support the running of the house
  • Communicate with the team to provide detailed updates of night-time activities
  • Work as part of a multi-faceted team, liaising with our therapeutic support clinicians to deliver comprehensive therapeutic care which meets the complex needs of those in our care
  • Maintain all relevant records in a consistent and efficient manner
  • Deliver other ad-hoc duties as assigned in line with the needs of the service
