JOB DESCRIPTION

The Control Equipment Technician (CET) is responsible for performing general and preventive maintenance on the controls, electrical & mechanical systems on the equipment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Complete demonstrated skill progression targets at expected rate.
  • Actively participate in the Live Oak Complex safety process. This includes complying with all safety rules and procedures.
  • Work the scheduled hours.
  • Be available for after hour support on weekend / evenings as required.
  • Able to interact effectively with management, staff, vendors, customers, and work independently, and/or as part of a team.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Associate must have strong electrical/mechanical knowledge that includes PLCs, drive systems, piping systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
  • Associate must have strong working knowledge of proper piping systems and installation techniques, including threaded and welded pipe.
  • Read and comprehend electrical/mechanical drawings and schematics.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and capable of using motorized equipment (i.e., forklifts, tuggers, jig lift, etc.)

PREFERRED TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Prefer associate to have a minimum of 2 years industrial electrical/mechanical experience. A 2-year electrical or electro-mechanical degree from an accredited school is preferred, but not required. Equivalent experience or demonstrated skills may be substituted.
