OVERVIEW

An exceptional and highly experienced House Manager is required to oversee the day to day running of a five bedroom, 15 acre private family residence in the New Forest, Hampshire.
The position calls for a professional with impeccable 5-star wardrobe management skills, excellent knowledge of laundry and wardrobe care, and previous experience working within a high-net-worth household.
The successful individual will be discreet, organised and a confident team leader, capable of managing contractors and overseeing the operations of a beautiful, relaxed family home that is used extensively for hosting and entertaining. The wider team includes a Housekeeper, Private PAs, a Private Chef and Nannies.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of the Live-out House Manager in Hampshire, include:

  • Oversee and manage the residence, ensuring it is run to the highest standard
  • Wardrobe management, including seasonal rotations, organisation, specialist laundry and ensuring items are appropriately cared for (dry cleaning, specialist cleaning, and preservation)
  • Manage and support the Housekeeper and Groundsman
  • Liaise with and supervise contractors, ensuring works are carried out efficiently and to the required standard
  • Run errands, including fuelling vehicles, sourcing supplies, and other ad hoc duties
  • Maintain knowledge of local suppliers (fishmongers, butchers, florists, etc.) and build relationships for the household
  • Support with hosting and entertaining, including sourcing and managing additional staff when required
  • Care for and manage antiques and fine items, including coordinating appropriate insurance and specialist care
  • Hands-on housekeeping support when required to assist the Housekeeper and ensure the property is impeccably presented
  • Regular communication with the Principals’ PAs
