POSITION OVERVIEW:

A private family in Short Hills, NJ is seeking a warm, reliable, and proactive full-time Housekeeper / Nanny / Cook to support the daily operations of their home and assist mom with the care of their young children. The ideal candidate will ensure the household remains clean, organized, and must be a confident cook.
This is a collaborative role that requires working alongside a live-in housekeeper (Monday–Friday) and other household staff. The position calls for someone with a strong team spirit, a can-do attitude, and the ability to adapt to the family’s needs. A valid driver’s license and confidence behind the wheel are required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a similar role within a private household
• Housekeeping and Childcare experience is preferred
• Strong, verifiable references from current and previous employers
• Fluent English communication skills (spoken and written)
• Experience caring for multiple children, including toddlers and school-aged
• Team-oriented, dependable, and adaptable
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable swimming and supervising children in water
• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

• Perform daily and deep cleaning of the home, including children’s areas and common spaces
• Handle family laundry, ironing, and wardrobe care
• Provide nurturing and attentive childcare, ensuring a safe and engaging environment
• Prepare healthy meals for the children and family, following recipes as needed
• Assist with meal service and clean-up
• Manage grocery shopping and household supply inventories
• Run errands such as returns, dry cleaning, post office visits, etc.
• Supervise children during swimming or pool activities as needed
